Our story.
Moosehead Pictures was founded by twins Will and James Freda on Moosehead Lake in their home state of Maine. They filmed their first project in Brooklyn, December 2021.
They are currently developing their debut feature, Goldenboy, which begins production in June 2025.

Will Freda — Producer / Cinematographer
Will Freda studied Religion and Art History as an undergraduate before moving to Philosophy and Literature for his Master’s.
James Freda — Writer / Director
James Freda has a B.A. in Classics and German. He also completed a Master’s degree in Business and Mandarin at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou.
Vanessa Grapes — Producer / Art Department
Vanessa Grapes majored in English and completed her Master’s in Education. Vanessa subsequently pursued a Fulbright scholarship in Thailand.
